Any company, factory or corporation – working in the field of manufacturing
and exporting clothes, fabrics, textiles and industrial accessories – or
supporting industries can apply for J.GATE membership, only if it is
registered with the Ministry of industry and trade.
- There are three types of membership
- Full membership.
- Associate membership.
- Honorary membership.
- Full membership enjoy all membership rights, which are:
- Attendance of the general assembly meeting both the ordinary meetings at
the special once and voting on all proposed decisions.
- Nomination for board membership.
- Voting in board elections.
- Participation in JGATE's various committees.
- The associate or honorary members cannot nominate themselves to the board
membership. However he/she has the right to exercise the following:
- Attend ordinary and special general assembly meetings. Including
participation in discussions without the right to vote on any proposed
decisions.
- Participate in JGATE's various committees.
- Any company has the right to apply for JGATE's membership by completing
the designated Membership Application. On the other hand, the board has the
right to approve or disapprove the request, but in case of disapproval,
reasons should be clarified.
- The associate member has the right to change his/her membership to full
membership by applying to the board, which, in turn, will make a decision of
approval of disapproval.
Physical year of JGATE STARTS ON THE 1ST OF July and ends on the 30th of
June.
- The board has the authority to modify the membership fees, whenever
necessary.
- Apportion of a year is considered as a full year.
- Membership will be cancelled if membership fees are no paid before 30th
of September.
- JGATE will not allow members with unpaid fees to attend any of its
activities.
- Members may withdraw from JGATE by submitting a written request, no
later than 30th of June, otherwise the member will be obliged to pay the
membership fees before the 1st of July.
- To obtain JGATE membership, all stipulated requisites must be
fulfilled.
- If the applicant meets all the above stated conditions and
prerequisites, he/she will be automatically granted membership, status of
which will become official upon his first meeting with the board.
- Any Member, who is accepted during a fiscal year, is only required to
pay the fees of the remaining part of the year.
Membership cancellation
- Failure to pay membership fees within a one-month period from its due
date-throughout which written notices will be issued-will result in
immediate suspension of membership. During this period the member will not
be entitled to any rights, Failure to pay membership fees for three months
will result in membership termination, and notification will be issued.
- A member can request cancellation of membership by submitting a request
in writing to the board.
- The board may terminate the membership of any member, that fails to meet
any of the terms of membership, or if the company is terminated, bankrupt or
dissolved.
- The board has the right to terminate a membership in the case a member
has caused serious physical or moral harm to JGATE.
- Members, who have lost their membership, have no right to be refunded for
grants, donations or any other expenses made to JGATE during their
membership.
Membership Termination
Members will be expelled in the following cases:
- If the member any physical or moral harm to JGATE.
- If the member utilizes their membership for personal benefits, whlist on
official duty.
